Alan Vaarwerk is a writer, editor and critic, and was editor of Kill Your Darlings from 2017–2023. His work has appeared in KYD, Griffith Review, Books + Publishing and elsewhere, and he has appeared at writing festivals and conferences in Australia and abroad. He grew up in regional NSW, grew up some more in Brisbane, and now lives in Melbourne.
