Monikka Eliah is an Assyrian-Australian writer from Fairfield. She is a member of Sweatshop: Western Sydney Literacy Movement. Her work has been published in The Big Black Thing, SBS Voices, Sweatshop Women, Runway Journal, Southerly and the Lifted Brow. She received Southlands Breakthrough Award 2018 and Wheeler Centre Playwright Hot Desk Fellowship 2020. She is currently developing her debut novel as a recipient of an Australia Council Resilience grant.
