How do the KYD Manuscript Assessments work?
The KYD Writers’ Workshop offers manuscript assessment services for short and long pieces of fiction and non-fiction. Our assessments, in which writers work closely with the Writers’ Workshop staff, are the ideal way for writers at all stages of their development to get experienced, professional and objective feedback on a work-in-progress.
Assessments take the form of comprehensive editorial notes that examine the key components of the work (such as structure, character and plot), as well as identifying areas for further improvement. We believe these notes are the most useful form of feedback for writers at this stage of the manuscript’s development. We do not provide annotated edits, or any copyedits.
On payment, KYD Writers’ Workshop will be in touch to arrange the schedule for your assessment, as well as assign you to an editor from our workshop team.
Terms and conditions: Please note, if you purchase a short manuscript assessment you must submit your manuscript to KYD within three months of purchase. If you purchase a long manuscript assessment then you must submit your manuscript to KYD within six months of purchase.
