Valerie Yu (she/her) is a Hong Kong-born, Brisbane-based writer and poet. She is currently working on her first poetry collection, Mercurial Darling. The winner of the KYD School Prize 2025, she would like to take this opportunity to shout out every single English teacher she has ever had for encouraging her love for creative writing.
