Melanie Myers
Melanie is a Brisbane-based writer, editor and academic. She has a Doctorate in Creative Writing from the University of the Sunshine Coast where she also teaches Creative Writing. Her doctoral novel Garrison Town won the Glendower Emerging Writer Award at the 2018 Queensland Literary Awards and will be published by UQP in 2019. Her writing has been published in Kill Your Darlings, Arena Magazine, Overland, Hecate, Griffith Review (forthcoming), Brisbane Times and various trade publications. She is the former artistic director of Reality Bites Festival (2012–2014), a nonfiction writers' festival based on the Sunshine Coast.
