Lauren Burns

Lauren Burns was donor conceived at Prince Henry’s Hospital in Melbourne in 1983 and currently resides in Inverloch, Victoria. Her story was the subject of a two-part Australian Story (Searching for C11) which won the 2014 Walkley Award for Social Equity Journalism. From 2016–19 she was a board member of the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority (VARTA). She splits her time working as an aerospace engineer, volunteering for various environmental NGOs and writing.
