Karen Wyld is a South Australian author of Martu descent, living on the coast south of Adelaide. Her second novel, Where the Fruit Falls, won the 2020 Dorothy Hewett Award for an Unpublished Manuscript, and was shortlisted for the 2021 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards. Her children’s book, Heroes, Rebels and Innovators: Inspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from history, was released in 2021. Clatter Tongue won the Borderlands 2020 First Nations Writing Award.
