Attention short fiction writers: submissions for our fifth print collection of short fiction will open on Monday 30 January 2023!
New Australian Fiction 2023 will once again showcase stories from Australia’s best and brightest established and emerging writers. The anthology will be edited by KYD’s deputy editor Suzy Garcia, following her triumphant debut as series editor in 2022.
Mark these dates in your diary—submissions for New Australian Fiction 2023 open on 30 January and close on 5 March 2023.
We encourage writers from diverse backgrounds and all levels of experience to submit to this collection. Stories must be between 2000-6000 words and must be previously unpublished. All genres will be considered.
If you’re in need of some inspiration, you can purchase this year’s edition, New Australian Fiction 2022, at our online shop, or receive a copy as part of a KYD membership.
