We’re excited to launch a new prize for creative non-fiction essays!
On 17 October 2022, we will open submissions to the inaugural KYD Creative Non-Fiction Essay Prize, closing 27 November 2022.
We will be seeking creative non-fiction essays between 2500 and 3500 words, on any subject—award-winning essayist Fiona Wright is judging the prize in collaboration with KYD staff, with winning essays published in KYD magazine in early 2023.
First prize is $3000, with two runner-up prizes of $1000 each.
