Marketing and Programming Manager (late Feb, 2022)
KYD is one of Australia’s leading online literary magazines with a fast-growing membership base. We also program prizes and awards, mentorships, book clubs, online writing courses, and other editorial services. Each year we publish an annual anthology of short fiction.
The successful applicant will have 3+ years’ experience in social media marketing, preferably in the arts sector. You will have outstanding written and presentation skills, be an effective manager of people, be highly organised and confident, and have the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced working environment. You must have a business development mindset.
The successful applicant will also have strong proficiency in MS Office suites, MailChimp, Canva and WordPress. Experience in selling online advertising and event programming, as well as an understanding of the Australian publishing industry, is desirable.
The key responsibilities of the Marketing and Programming Manager include:
- Digital marketing campaigns, SEO and social media strategies for all KYD activities
- Design and program new online writing courses and mentorships
- Develop membership and readership growth strategies
- Meet monthly advertising budgets
- Meet sales targets on other KYD activities
- Produce annual external funding applications
- Work closely with the Publishing Director
