KYD’s New Australian Fiction anthology
Kill Your Darlings is delighted to announce that our inaugural anthology of new short fiction will be published in October 2019. We are currently accepting unsolicited submissions for consideration for this collection via our Submittable page. All genres will be considered.
We strongly recommend all prospective contributors acquaint themselves with the fiction we publish to attain familiarity with our tone and style. We encourage writers from diverse backgrounds and all levels of experience to submit to this collection. Submissions will close 5pm, Thursday 31 January 2019.
Please follow these guidelines on submission:
• Submissions should be in PDF format, size 12, double spaced, Times New Roman font.
• Stories must be between 2000–6000 words.
• Stories, or fragments of these stories, must be previously unpublished.
• Include a short cover letter with relevant biography (no more than 50 words).
• You must be a KYD Member to be considered. Memberships start from $17.50.
In 2018, KYD will only consider unsolicited fiction submissions from KYD Members. This policy enables us to prioritise the reading of work from our members and provide as much timely editorial feedback as possible.
