Getting Published with Rebecca Starford: A KYD Writers Workshop (Melbourne)
Join KYD co-founder Rebecca Starford in this unique writing course all about preparing your work for publication.
Completing a first draft is only the beginning of a journey to publication. What follows is the crucial process of redrafting your manuscript. And then where do you send your work and to whom?
This workshop is designed to open doors and shine lights on everything you need to know about preparing your work for publication, along with the crucial process of getting it into the hands of publishers and agents.
Through a series of dynamic writing exercises, you will come away with efficient techniques for redrafting your work to make it shine. You will learn about the many pathways to publication, and where and how you might choose to submit your work. This includes information on pitches, cover letters and writing the perfect synopsis.
Please bring your laptop or a writing pad, and – if you wish – your special work-in-progress. This will be a day of writing, discussion and industry-insider advice, led by an experienced writer and editor.
