He is the author of Lobbying Congress: How The System Works (Congressional Quarterly Books, 1990, 1996) and a regular commentator on US politics for Sky News and ABC News. He is chief of staff to former prime minister Julia Gillard and a supporter of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
