Attention short fiction writers: submissions for our sixth print collection of short fiction will open on Monday 26 February 2024!
New Australian Fiction 2024 will once again showcase stories from Australia’s best and brightest established and emerging writers. The anthology will be edited by KYD’s editor Suzy Garcia.

We encourage writers from diverse backgrounds and all levels of experience to submit to this collection. Stories must be between 2000-6000 words and must be previously unpublished. All genres will be considered.
If you’re in need of some inspiration, you can purchase this year’s edition, New Australian Fiction 2023, at our online shop, or receive a copy as part of a KYD membership.
