KYD Writers’ Workshop now offers a secondary-school teachers’ version of our popular motivational writing course, So You Want to Write?, presented by Hannah Kent and Rebecca Starford.

This dynamic online course is specifically designed for teachers to assist students who might be having difficulties in beginning or maintaining their writing project and practice. The course includes audio and video that can be played during class time, as well as course notes, suggested exercises and classroom discussion points that will help shape or complement your lesson plans.

Teachers will come away with strategies to help students manage procrastination and distraction, self-consciousness and self-doubt, along with classroom activities to assist and encourage creativity. By the end of the course, you will have new approaches to assist your students in developing techniques to increase their motivation, discipline, and their ongoing healthy and productive relationship with writing.
