Kill Your Darlings bids a fond farewell, and heartfelt thanks, to two staff members this month.
Ashleigh Hanson, our brilliant fiction editor and former deputy editor of our print journal, is leaving the magazine after four years. Ash has been an invaluable editor for our publication, always bringing thoughtfulness, gentle expertise and enthusiasm to every story and article she has commissioned for Kill Your Darlings, and earning the respect of every writer she has published. We wish Ash all the very best in the future – she has been a delightful person to work with and will be deeply missed by all at the magazine.
We are also saying goodbye to Justina Ashman, our much admired editorial assistant, who finishes up her year with KYD at the end of December. Justina has made her mark here at KYD with her careful, intelligent and diligent work in collaboration with editor Alan Vaarwerk, and for being all-round lovely person to have in the office. We’re certain Justina is an editor to watch in the future!
